Wedding Favors for Themed Weddings

If you are having a Victorian themed wedding, you could provide inexpensive top hats or bonnets for the guests to wear. Then, at the end of the wedding ceremony, your guests could keep what they are wearing as a memento of your nuptials. Other wedding favor possibilities are inexpensive hankies that could be handed out where the bride and groom’s wedding information is written on each with fabric paint. If your wedding reception and ceremony is themed around a holiday or season, it is possible to give out favors that are appropriate for that time of year. For example, at a spring wedding, you could hand out packets of flower seeds containing personalized tags with the bride and groom’s names and wedding date attached to the packets.
Perhaps you could find tiny, stuffed bunnies with a tag containing the wedding information for Easter. If you are getting married around Chinese New Year, you can give out gold coins or small, red banners or mementos with dragons as a symbol of good luck to come. Near St. Patricks’ Day it’s possible to find small wedding favors containing either a real pressed four leaf clover or old-style Irish penny, also to convey wishes for good luck. For a nontraditional alternative wedding like a hand-fasting, small dream-catchers or other items of a spiritual nature may be given as wedding favors. Other favor possibilities include small stones significant in healing ceremonies like polished amethyst or small bundles of herbs like sage which is used to bring cleansing and good luck.
